We receive a lot of questions regarding fence requirements for pools. This post gives some info on those requirements.
Minimum fence height 48”
Maximum opening at bottom of fence 2”
Openings in barrier shall not exceed 4”
Chain link fence no greater than 2 ¼ mesh opening
Gate shall swing outwards away from the pool and shall be self closing and self latching
If the latch is less than 54”from the base of the gate, it shall be mounted on the pool and no less than 3”from the top. Any opening within 18”of the lock shall be no greater than ½”
